I come from a family which seems to be all HT.
I discovered it from reading about it and then realizing I had all the classic symptoms. I read probably 4 – 5 books by MDs and Endocrinologist Broda Barnes the classic seminal book on it. So I use the basal temperature test to verify everything. Everyone says that the current blood test is wildly inaccurate and very slow, maybe even ten or more years late in diagnosing. Broda Barnes suggested Armour desiccated thyroid which other authors agree and disagree on and some authors particularly the ladies swear by massive doses of iodine. I suspect that may work by unknowingly killing the EBV. Women do require a large amount of iodine anyways because their breasts need it so I’m led to understand. Some claim that the Armour desiccated thyroid makes the thyroid weaker and weaker without solving anything.
I’ve tried a few things with no luck and briefly tried iodine but was unwilling to do massive doses of it. No effect.
Then I read Anthony William’s book “Medical Medium” and bingo the Epstein Barr Virus EBV mention. So I tried sets in Spooky while ago and nothing showed, but them posted sets here… viewtopic.php?f=12&t=7943 and my dance card was filled.
After I ran them and about 3 – 4 days in, my basal temp BT went from it’s normal @ 97.1 degrees up to well within normal 97.8 to 98.6 . It jumps around a bit but basically normal.
As I mentioned in Manuel’s thread I did have two days + of Herxing with a temperature north of 100 up to 101.4, with dizziness, nausea, brain fog, lousy tired feeling. Funnily enough this Herxing didn’t start till maybe 2 weeks after I started. That has totally disappeared now.
One important thing that I noticed is that my BT is well within normal range, but if I am up past 9:30 10 @ night, the next day my BT is right back to 97.1 Then it takes me 2 – 4 days to get it back to normal. Also eating crap at a party does the same thing.

Now I will see what effect it has on MS.
